This is what you should do to start playing RIGHT NOW:

1. Click on FREE DOWNLOAD to get True Poker’s free software in 2D or 3D
2. Choose “Save File” on the dialog window
3. Open the file TruePokerSetupHigh.exe
4. If you get a pop-up asking for permission to open an executable file, click “OK”
5. On the next dialog, click “Run” to install the software
6. Follow the set-up wizard’s instructions
7. Remember to accept the Terms and Conditions

If you finished installing, you are ready to run True Poker’s software and start playing!

As soon as the software is running, click on the big red LOG IN button and enter your login info. Once that is done, you are ready to look for a table.

Go to the game Selection tab, and select a few options.

In TYPE you can choose the type of game you want to play. Are you in the mood for a single-table tournament? Want to jump into a big multi-table tournament to hone your tournament skills? Or do you just want to sit in a Ring Table and play continuously while you get a better feel for the cards and the odds?

In GAME you get to choose between Hold’em (poker’s most popular variant) and the up-and-coming Omaha Hi and Hi-Low. Omaha is starting to rival Hold’em for popularity because of its more complex dynamics.

In LIMIT you choose your rules. Do you want to play No Limit and risk your entire bankroll in a hero call? New players may prefer to stick to Fixed Limit betting, so they can get a better grip on the notions of position and texture of the board without investing too many chips. Those with a more mathematical mind will be happy playing Pot Limit, with its medium-sized bets and complex betting rules.

The SIZE tab chooses the number of players at each table. You can choose among standard 10-player tables, short-handed 6-max tables, or heads-up if you want to match your poker wits against a single opponent.

The TOURNAMENT TYPE tab allows you to find your way among True Poker’s many tournament options. You can adjust the speed with which the blinds change, the size of stack you get for your buy-in, whether you want to be able to re-buy or not and whether you want a prize in chips or an entry into a larger tournament. All of these options are also available for Sit & Go tournaments in the SIT & GO TYPE TAB.

The STAKES tab will appear if you choose to play a Ring Game, and it will determine the number of chips you can bring to a table, from micro to high stakes.

Once you have made all of your choices, this is how you can actually start playing:

For ring games: Once you have made all of your selections, the lobby will show you a list of the games that match your requirements. Select any of the games and a round icon with an ‘i’ will appear – hovering over it will let you see who is seated at the table and what the stakes are.

Double click on any table name (or select and click “Go to Table”) to see the table on a separate pop-up window. Click on an empty seat and join the fun!

For tournaments: once you have made your choices you will be shown a list of tournaments. Buy into the one you like, and then sit tight until it begins.
